Needed a small SUV, but did not want to buy foreign, even though some are built in US, had very bad experience with BMW, never again. Considered the Cadillac XT5, but when we say the XT4, it was exactly what we wanted. First, the style of the car is simple but the waterfall lights front and back really add still, the overall shape flows evenly and allows efficient us of space for the interior. I am six foot one, and very comfortable, my wife is 5 foot 1 and she is very comfortable. Accessories are just enough for us, we really don't care too much for advanced cutting edge electronics, the XT4 has very modern accessories without going over the edge. The video unit is very clear, and very easy to see with no glare, push button controls clearly defined and easy to use. Seats are very nice. Many thoughtful configurations for driver access and views. The ride is QUIET, SMOOTH, and this car is so easy to drive. My wife did not want to buy an SUV because she does not like large cars, she loves driving this car. Driver's visibility is excellent from back to front. Interior is GM, not over luxurious, but did I mention comfortable. We own the Premiere Luxury Model, because we wanted the safety features, of the collision, lane departure, and backup warnings. There is more than enough storage space, especially when the seats fold down. Although only a four cylinder engine with Turbo, this is no lag, runs very quiet, and smooth. Simply put, bust car we purchased in years, we love to drive this car, and enjoy our ride. It is truly a Cadillac and we love it so much. Highly recommend the XT4. You will like it, I am sure, fyi I get about 28 MPG, combine city and highway, only got 795 miles on it.…
XT4 Sport - Well Thought Out SUV

Well thought out SUV. Just traveled 250 highway miles at 70 mph and averaged 29.2 miles per gallon - incredible! My 6 cylinder, 2015 top-rated SUV never got more than 22 mpg on the highway. The advanced adaptive cruise control is truly set and forget. Will even stop the car. This feature alone significantly reduces driver fatigue. Made the 250 mile highway drive a breeze. XT4 is well laid out - smart combination of buttons and touchscreen makes it easy to operate - no fumbling for climate controls, heated seats, or switching audio tracks. Very convenient volume control knob ensures you play all your music at the perfect level. (Or you can use the up/down volume control buttons on the steering wheel if you prefer.) Advanced technology makes the XT4 a pleasure to drive. The other day a neighbor was walking his dog as I was rounding a corner. The person icon in the heads-up display turned yellow and the SUV automatically slowed. XT4 will anticipate things before you do. XT4 is an interesting SUV that combines technology and comfort for a fun-to-drive, performant SUV. Note: A few of the reviews I've read have said that the engine is noisy. I don't agree with those reviews. The interior is very quite and don't notice any excessive engine noise. I've driven the car over 1,100 miles and much prefer it to the Acura RDX (previously owned) and Infinity Q30 (rented on trip before getting Cadillac and is not as comfortable). Bottom line is that the XT4 performs well (strong engine, quick/smooth shifts), is very comfortable (great seat positioning/support), great layout of controls (and very responsive touch screen) and is really fun to drive.…
Distinctive looks of 2024 Cadillac XT4 versus Euro

color=Deep sea metallic
I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4 (the 2024 highlander drove the same as the 2014 Toyota highlander and had the same old chassis and interior so I wanted something different this time).
The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag).
Cadillac's torque kicks on early at 1500 rpm producing 258 lbs.
PRO:
- Distinctive Cadillac vertical lights in front and rear reminiscent of 1950s Cadillac fins
- Lighted Cadillac logo behind the dashboard is reminiscent of the lighted Apple logo on Macbooks
- Easiest to get in and out of the car (Cadillac seat height is slightly lower than my 2014 Toyota Highlander suv, and higher than my 2019 Toyota Camry sedan).
- Excellent reliability (no hybrid complexity to break).
JD Powers ranks the Cadillac XT4 better than Honda CRV (https://compare.lithia.com/comparison/250938)
Motor Trend ranks the 2024 Cadillac XT4 as #1: https://www.motortrend.com/features/most-reliable-luxury-suvs/

- BIG curved 33 in screen, same as in the $80k Cadillac Lyriq EV.
- Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto
- 74 in car width is spacious, and the widescreen makes it feel even more spacious
- stops 60-0 in 109 ft is sport sedan territory
- 0-60 in 7 seconds
- Remote start to cool or heat the interior before getting inside
- Auto brake assist frontal and backing up
- Safer driving with physical buttons/knobs for climate control, windows, entertainment system, cruise control.
- Standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
- Standard auto high beam headlights
- Feels agile because it weighs under 4k pounds for an SUV
- Long warranty and free 1st service
- No range anxiety like an EV, no hassle of plugging/unplugging daily like an EV
The Cadillac has these features that Youtubers miss:
- Lighted logo behind the dashboard
- Pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep)
- Left behind child in the rear seat alert
- Capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 )
- Umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce)
- Active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose)
- Power passenger seat with lumbar
- Free 5G hotspot
- Auto engine stop/start is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced that I don't even notice it.
- The rear wiper on the liftgate is mounted on top of the glass for a clean look and is very easy to clean the window without getting snagged by the wipers if they were mounted at the bottom of the window like most SUVs.
CON:
- No spare tire and toolkit, it's a $350 option
